You can’t talk about iconic Atlanta food stops without mentioning The Varsity. Serving up classic burgers, hot dogs, fries, and its famous Frosted Orange since 1928, it’s more than just a quick bite, it’s an Atlanta tradition. And of course, no visit is complete without hearing, “What’ll ya have?”

Born in Atlanta, Tin Lizzy’s Cantina has been serving up creative tacos, cold margaritas, and laid-back vibes since 2005. The menu puts a fun twist on Tex-Mex favorites, but don’t skip on the house-fried chips with queso! And the Fried Lobster Tacos are definitely worth a try. It’s an easy pick for good food, drinks, and a fun night out.

Dinner inside an 18th-century pink mansion is about as Savannah as it gets. The fried green tomatoes and crispy flounder are hard to pass up, but the beautiful setting is what really makes the meal feel special.

There’s a lot of good food in Athens, but Last Resort Grill is one we’d happily go back to. The menu mixes Southern favorites with a little Southwestern flair, and the fried green tomatoes with Vidalia bacon dressing are a great way to start. Add in the cozy downtown atmosphere and a little Athens history, and it makes for such a good dinner spot
