The AAPC recognized Calvert Street Group with five awards at last weekend’s annual Pollie Awards Ceremony and Conference in San Diego. The company takes home five of the industry’s highest honors bestowed upon political consultants at the national and international level, after running successful political campaigns across the country. The firm was recognized in both the Ballot Initiative and Public Affairs divisions for its exemplary work during the 2013 political season.

We are especially proud to take home Gold and Silver in the ‘Best Overall’ categories for our work on ballot initiatives and public affairs campaigns, respectively.”
In addition to the two “Best Overall” wins, Calvert Street was also recognized for their creative and graphic design work, winning additional Silver and two Bronze Pollie awards in newspaper advertising, logo creation, and collateral production.

“This year’s Pollie Awards were especially competitive for an off cycle with over 1,600 entries,” said AAPC President Art Hackney. “We were pleased to see innovative voter contact and persuasion strategies applied in all segments, which saw a significant increase in number over last year,” said AAPC President Art Hackney.
The AAPC announced this year’s winners at the 2014 Annual Pollie Awards & Conference on April 4 in San Diego, CA. The Pollie Awards (Pollies) are bipartisan honors awarded annually by the AAPC to members of the political advertising and communications industry who have demonstrated superior work on behalf of their candidates and causes. A blind jury of their peers selects AAPC award winners. Esquire magazine has dubbed the Pollies as “…the Oscars of political advertising.”
