Calvert Street Leaves AAPC Pollies Award Ceremony with Four Wins

Calvert Street Group, the leader in public affairs corporate and political consulting, is proud to announce that it is a 2015 winner of four coveted Pollie Awards from the AAPC, the industry’s highest honor granted to political consultants at the national and international levels. Calvert Street was recognized for its outstanding work in 2014 in both public affairs and candidate divisions. The firm was presented with a silver award for its exceptional “Direct Mail for Local Organization” in the Public Affairs division and for its “Best Use of Telephone Town Hall” in the Public Affairs Division. Two gold trophies were awarded; “Best Video-Mayoral” in the candidate division and “Best Use of Twitter” in the public affairs division.

“It’s great to be recognized by the AAPC for the hard work we put into satisfying our clients and fulfilling their needs,” said Darden Copeland, Calvert Street’s Managing Partner. “QUOTE.”

This is the third year in a row Calvert Street has entered the AAPC Pollies awards contest and the third year they have come home with numerous awards in the Gold and Silver categories. With more than 2,400 entries, this year’s Contest was the largest in AAPC history. “It’s exciting to see the growth of the industry reflected in the Pollie Awards,” said AAPC President Art Hackney. “We continue to refine categories, making the contest easier to enter—yet harder to win. This year’s winners represent the very best in the business of politics.”

The AAPC announced this year’s winners at the 2015 Annual Pollie Awards & Conference on March 19 in New Orleans, LA. The Pollie Awards are bipartisan honors awarded annually by the AAPC to members of the political advertising and communications industry who have demonstrated superior work on behalf of their candidates and causes. A blind jury of their peers selects AAPC award winners. Esquire magazine has dubbed the Pollies as “…the Oscars of political advertising.”
